This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today, we hear from Valérie Albert and Megan Picard of Main Street Dancers in Edmundston.
IT WAS OUR ASPIRATION TO TAKE OUR PASSION FOR DANCE TO ANOTHER LEVEL THAT LED US TO START OUR OWN BUSINESS.
Our dream has always been to have our own studio in order to continue to pass on our love for dance and the beautiful values that this art has given us to future generations of dancers in the region. Our sense of leadership and our overflowing creativity made us seize the business opportunity that was presented to us.
With the past year being a difficult one for everyone, we relied on local support to encourage and partner with local businesses, who in turn, gave back. Being able to support each other in the local business community not only benefits our businesses but also makes our region flourish. With the support of many of our local businesses, we have been able to give back to our members and volunteers to thank them for their hard work throughout the year.
Supporting local businesses also serves to nurture the passions and entrepreneurial qualities that will inspire the next generation. It benefits everyone.
