This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today, we hear from Simon Chiswell, of Hampton Brewing Co., in Hampton.
It all began with a passion for brewing great beer at home, which we loved to share with our friends and family. It was a natural evolution to expand into a nano brewing operation.
We also wanted to create a place in Hampton where people could come to enjoy an amazing craft beer but also connect with their community in a great atmosphere and catch some killer live local music.
We have an amazing team that has come together to form Hampton Brewing Company.
Supporting local is just good business. Hampton is a close-knit community and quite literally this brewery was built by local hands: friends, family, and local trades. We all grew up in the community attending the schools, working jobs at local businesses, and now are raising our own families in the community we love.
Supporting local is more than simply buying local supplies, it is understanding that age-old saying “a rising tide floats all ships.” A strongly supported local business community improves everyone’s situation. Everyone is eager to collaborate and by working together we can help each other grow and show off the beautiful town of Hampton.
