This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today, we hear from Nathalie Legresley of O Studio in Caraquet.
I WORKED FOR MANY YEARS AS A PROFESSIONAL NAIL TECHNICIAN IN QUEBEC. I HAD BEEN DREAMING OF OPENING MY OWN BUSINESS FOR QUITE SOME TIME AND THIS DREAM TOOK ROOT IN MY MIND WHEN I DECIDED TO RETURN TO MY ROOTS HERE IN ACADIE.
At that moment, being able to open a business in Caraquet was really my major motivation. As soon as I had the chance, I embarked on the adventure for my own pleasure but also to be of service to the people of the region.
Over the past year, I have had to make several changes and restructurings to my studio. I gave up some services to add new ones. Some employees have left, others have joined the team. Despite all these changes and the restrictions and constraints caused by Covid-19, the local population has never stopped encouraging and supporting us.
We are blessed to have such a good and beautiful clientele. We all appreciate it very much. In the next few weeks, we plan to become an Aveda-exclusive spa.
In addition, we are also planning to partner with a local doctor to offer Botox services here in Caraquet. Supporting local businesses has a real impact on the survival of our businesses, which we have worked so hard to build. The continued support of the population is essential. Our children’s future and our heritage depend on it.
