This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations. Every day, a new portrait will be shared through Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Huddle, a media partner with Love for Local. In this segment, Michel Savoie of Les Brumes du Coude in Moncton talks about using the region’s suppliers as an important component of supporting local.
BUYING LOCAL PRODUCTS AND SOURCING FROM LOCAL SUPPLIERS IS THE FOUNDATION OF OUR BUSINESS MODEL. WE BELIEVE THIS IS THE SHORT AND LONG-TERM SOLUTION TO THE CURRENT ECONOMIC IMBALANCE IN OUR REGION.
We try, to the best of our ability, to support the local producers who make our region what it is. Moncton is a vibrant and exciting place and we want to contribute to its development through our restaurant.
This past year has been full of challenges, sorting out unnecessary habits and recycling ourselves! It has been an incredible year and, frankly, an opportunity to change for the better and to set ourselves up for success for years to come. We hope to inspire people to understand the need to eat better and eat local.
