This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today, we hear from Matt Clark and Alie Ross of Solstice Supply and Design in Woodstock.

A SKATE, SNOW, AND SURF SHOP WITH APPAREL AND ACCESSORIES FOR MEN, WOMEN, AND KIDS, SOLSTICE SUPPLY AND DESIGN IS ONE OF WOODSTOCK’S FINEST RETAIL LOCATIONS.

People don’t always associate retail with local, especially when you carry international brands among the mix of local products, but it very much is. Like any other business, this past year has brought challenges, but we were able to push through and we are immensely grateful for the support of our customers old and new.

Everyone seems to be more aware of the impact of choosing local these days, which is great not only for business but also for the community we live in. We keep the lights on with that support, we are able to give back, we are able to support ourselves, we are able to be a presence in the community. It all comes down to this: making our community what it is by actively contributing to it, be it by doing business here or by supporting these businesses. Everyone wins.
