This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today we feature Luc Doucet of Black Rabbit/White Rabbit, in Moncton.
I ALWAYS WANTED TO EVOKE CHANGE. OUR BUSINESS MODEL IS CONSTANT CHANGE, CONSTANT GROWTH. THIS HAS THE GOAL OF PUSHING BOUNDARIES AND CHANGING THE WAY PEOPLE IN OUR PROVINCE DRINK AND EAT.
Being a local business ourselves and part of the community, working with local producers and local vendors has enabled us to create connections that are very hard to achieve when working with outside companies.
It supports jobs in our community and it allows us to evolve with them as we test different products and services.
Supporting local makes a world of a difference, and it matters. It creates a sustainable food system within our communities as well as eliminates long-haul transportation.
The more we support local, the better our products become.
