This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today we feature Lise Thériault + Marco Plourde of Motel & Camping Colibri in Bertrand.
FOR A LONG TIME, WE WANTED TO LIVE AND WORK OUR OWN WAY. THE ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT RAN THROUGH OUR VEINS AND THE ADRENALINE THAT BUSINESS CHALLENGES BRING TO US APPEALED TO US. WE ALSO WANTED TO DO IT TOGETHER!
When the opportunity presented itself, we jumped at the chance to acquire Motel & Camping Colibri, a family business that has been in existence since the 1970s. We decided to go for it and build a business according to our values and vision.
We learned that by supporting each other locally, we can get through any crisis! If we can get the product or service in our area, that’s what we focus on! We support our family, friends and community by creating jobs and memories for our future generations. That’s the real strength of helping each other.
