This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today, we hear from Lawrence Heins of Heins Auto Spa and Consignment Center in Fredericton.

LOOKING BACK, MY PARENTS WERE BOTH ENTREPRENEURS THROUGHOUT MY LIFE, AND I REALLY WANTED THE FREEDOM AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO PROVIDE A GREAT LIFE FOR MY GROWING FAMILY AND I WANTED TO PROVIDE GREAT CAREERS FOR MY STAFF. IT’S LIKE WHEN I’D READ THE NOVELS WITH THE CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE CHAPTERS.
It just felt right to me, along with my strong passion for vehicles. It was an easy win-win situation for me.

I feel supporting local is the key to a great community. Having local support and feeling the love both online and in-person is one of the most rewarding factors of being an entrepreneur. It helps provide for families, creates opportunities and encourages strong growth within the community. It’s the little family business that holds the keys to the real, prosperous future we all want for our province.

I think it provides great strength and opportunity in the community for growth and it helps keep families together. Keeping food on our tables and roofs over our heads. Without the support of locals, we would not be where we are today. We truly owe everything to both our staff and our clients. We have so much appreciation for everyone. We are forever grateful.
