This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today we feature Karen Grant of Kiers Marketing, in Fredericton.

I began working at Kiers Marketing in 1990 as an employee. Then, in 2002, along with two partners, I bought the business from the former owner.

What I love about Kiers is the work that we do for our clients.

At Kiers, we don’t look at marketing projects as one-offs. We learn about our clients’ businesses, their challenges, and their goals, and provide marketing solutions to help them grow and prosper.

A team of six, we’re a one-stop-shop, providing in-house services to clients from branding to marketing collateral to website design, social media strategy and management, and we even do our own wide format printing and installation services. As most of our clients are SMEs or not-for-profit, they view us as their own marketing department.

When we support a local business, we’re supporting much more than the business and its owners. We’re also supporting the employees of the business who purchase products and services in our community which helps the local economy.

Many businesses support the community by providing sponsorships and other kinds of support to community groups and events. All of this helps to keep the local economy growing and vibrant.
