This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today, we hear from Karen Gee, General Manager, and Christopher Dunlap of The Castle Inn in Perth-Andover.

WE’VE LEARNED THAT WE NEED TO SUPPORT EACH OTHER BECAUSE SMALL BUSINESSES ARE THE BACKBONE OF THE ECONOMY.

This past year got me thinking about how we collaborate a lot more now with other businesses. So from a business point of view, I’d say it’s less about competing with each other and more about helping each other. Local businesses make a difference because we are unique! I can’t emphasize this enough: every single business in the area is unique and has something different to offer. And we inspire each other to be better!

New Brunswick truly is a secret treasure with so many things to see, do, and discover! The advantage of doing business in New Brunswick is that’s it’s a lot more personal. I like that we can be on a first-name basis with the people we do business with. I’ve even made friends this way!
