This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today, we hear from John Barker of St. Croix Army Surplus & Musical Instruments in St. Stephen.
I LOVED ARMY SURPLUS AND MUSIC STORES ALL MY LIFE AND DECIDED TO DO WHAT I LOVE BY OPENING A BUSINESS THAT CATERS TO BOTH OF MY PASSIONS.
Supporting local keeps money in the community. It’s circular. The support we receive allows us to support others in the community in return. It’s a good thing.
Recently, St Croix Army Surplus has welcomed The Easycoast FlipFlop Company to the fold and we look forward to this expansion as it will offer new services and products such as custom t-shirts to our line of products. The support we received has allowed us to do this, and we are excited to see what the future holds for us.
Supporting local businesses has a real impact because the community is paramount and we are all local somewhere. Supporting one another ensures that the place we call home thrives and shines.
