This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today, we hear from Joey Corriveau of Premium Location Auto Rental in Edmundston.

I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A PENCHANT FOR BUSINESS AND A PASSION FOR CARS. WHEN I SAW AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ME TO FILL A NEED IN THE AREA THAT WOULD ALLOW ME TO COMBINE ALL MY PASSIONS, I JUMPED AT THE CHANCE.
For me and my business, supporting local is important. I purchased my cars from our local dealers and in return, I support them with their rental needs.

When we talk about local economy, we talk about circular economy, which is actually quite simple: local people supporting local people. That way, the money stays in the community, and it allows it to grow. It’s a win-win situation.

That’s the importance of supporting local businesses. We need to help each other, especially entrepreneurs, to meet the needs of our friends, families, and neighbours. There is strength in numbers, and it’s great to be able to help others.
