This is the 18th in a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations. Every day, a new portrait will be shared through Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Huddle, a media partner with Love for Local.
BRIGGS MAPLES MAY HAVE BEEN INCORPORATED IN 2009, BUT THE SWEET, GOLDEN LIQUID WE ALL LOVE HAS BEEN IN THE FAMILY FOR FIVE GENERATIONS.
The family business gets its pure maple syrup from David’s father, Lea. Lea taps over 12,000 sugar maples on private and crown land, located near Fundy Park, in Albert County, New Brunswick.
For years, Lea produced maple syrup in his home of Stilesville. Located just outside of Moncton, it is well known in the area for producing some of the best quality maple products in the world. Now in their new home in Hillsborough, Briggs Maples continues to be one of New Brunswick’s finest producers, delivering maple products and smiles every day.
