This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today we feature Cliff Vautour And Amanda Losier Of East Coast Vinyl Supplies, In Riverview

We are New Brunswick born and raised but lived out west for several years. While there, Amanda started crafting and we realized we could purchase products cheaper privately than at a big box store.

Eventually, we moved home due to family reasons and planned to pursue our professions. But after moving back home, we agreed to cut and put decals on all of the kids’ hockey helmets for our child’s team. After several weeks of not seeing vinyl at the big-box store, we decided to start our own company.

We haven’t turned back since.

Supporting local is everything. Our shop meals are supplied by Moncton Foods. We buy some of our meat at the Old Time Meat Market. We go for Friday-morning breakfast as a family to Homestead Restaurant.

All of our products and supplies are also 100 percent Canadian-based, which includes everything down to our shipping boxes and tape.

Supporting local businesses has a real impact because small family businesses mean everything. The more money stays in the local economy, the more money is around for everyone: local sports teams, for families that need it, and for the local businesses.
