This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today, we hear from Chelsea Rivalin and Peter Comisso Of Golden Oak in Miramichi.

WE ARE CO-OWNERS AND RUN THE DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS. WE GOT INTO THE SOUP, SALAD, AND SANDWICH BUSINESS BECAUSE WE WANTED TO OFFER MORE VARIETY IN THE MIRAMICHI REGION. WE STRIVE TO MAKE OUR MEALS HOMEMADE FROM OUR SOUPS, SALAD DRESSINGS, ROAST PEPPERS, SPROUTED LENTILS, TZATZIKI, SWEET AND SMOKEY TOFU, JUST TO NAME A FEW.
The support has been incredible and we hope to be able to grow our clientele, solidify our presence here, and keep preparing delicious meals like only we know how for a long time.

Supporting local businesses keeps money here and it improves the community’s wealth and independence.
