This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today, we feature Cécile Beuzeville Miserez and Jérôme Beuzeville of Auberge d’Anjou-Cocooning Café in Petit-Rocher.

WE HAVE BEEN BAKERS FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS, AND WE HAD OUR OWN BAKERY IN FRANCE FOR MANY YEARS. WE DECIDED TO LEAVE EVERYTHING BEHIND AND MOVE TO NEW BRUNSWICK.

After two years of an administrative process, we finally got our permanent residency. For us, it was an obvious choice to share our passion and know-how with the community of Petit-Rocher and the surrounding area.

Jérôme makes beautiful and good pastries with quality products. We try to work with local products whenever possible. Maple syrup, blueberries, seasonal fruits and vegetables – there is no shortage of choice!

Without the support of our loyal clientele, we might not be open for business after this uncommon year. We’ve built trust with them and they know we do our best to live up to their expectations. We have our everyday regulars and many new customers who have heard of us and come to visit.

We are fortunate to be surrounded by a great team of people who put their hearts into their work. This team, as well as all the beautiful encounters we have made since our arrival in New Brunswick, make our life so pleasant. We have left our families, but we have created another one in Petit-Rocher!
