After working across Canada for 15 years leading teams to success in various leadership positions, I met the most talented, award-winning, and diverse people from all over the world. Working for top companies, I learned that the key to success is people. I moved home to New Brunswick in 2005 and began looking for work. I managed a recruiting company while building community with volunteering on the boards of Boys and Girls Club of Riverview, Chamber of Commerce for Greater Moncton, and the Albert County Chamber of Commerce. My entrepreneurial journey began in 2001 when I opened R&R Solution to help businesses recruit and retain top talent and customers.
I have had the privilege to interview thousands of the best people in their fields and help over 700 people find careers they love in my region. R&R Solution works with hundreds of incredible companies that value their people. I needed to connect more people and my passion for travel and food, which led to me buying Atlantic Canada Language Academy in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, in 2020. ACLA is an 11-year-old Designated Learning Institute that teaches English as an additional language. I knew I could connect more people to jobs and help organizations be more successful within our incredible international community. I lead two teams of the best people with incredible suppliers to connect anyone to opportunities here in Atlantic Canada.
Supporting local means we build community. It brings people together and develops friendships. In July of 2020, I created Atlantic Canada Cooks, a weekly cooking club showing people globally and locally what products are produced, grown, and available in Atlantic Canada. I host a plethora of people, virtually, in my kitchen and we share recipes, and I am dedicated to creating an experience to show our culture and community and promoting local companies and adventures across Atlantic Canada.
We support each other in our communities, building our economy for our future. We are your neighbours.
