This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today we feature Bobby Black, Cherrie Moreault, and Louis Leith of ALIVE Kombucha,in Moncton.

FOR US, IT’S ALL ABOUT LIVING LIFE WITH A POSITIVE IMPACT SO FUTURE GENERATIONS CAN ENJOY THE BEAUTY OF OUR PLANET AS WE HAVE IT TODAY.

We have always been passionate about our health and well-being, which led us to create ALIVE Kombucha, with the goal of helping people to live their best life through healthy living.

Our company’s mission is to create a new generation of great-tasting kombucha, and break through the mainstream beverage landscape.

We believe in renewable energy, that is why we use solar panels to power our facility. We installed 40 megawatts of solar panels, saving 26 tonnes of carbon emissions and 37 acres of forest annually.

We are proud to say our brewing practices, computer systems, and lights are all powered by solar energy. This is a first for a New Brunswick brewing company to adopt this technology and also the first kombucha plant in the world to brew using 100 percent solar energy.

Maritimers in general want to support Maritimes businesses, which is amazing! Since we opened our doors for business in February we attribute our success to our diverse and valued team of retail partners who believe in our story, are aligned with our values, and enjoy our product.

We are very thankful for the tremendous support we’ve received so far, not only because we are a local company but also because we are local trailblazers in the fight against climate change.
