This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Bertin Doiron Of Fromagerie Les Blancs d’Arcadie, In Caraquet.

My mother Alberte has always been in business. She bought this company in 2006. Now, she passes the torch to her children. To myself, since 2011, when I became manager, and to my brother Jean-Yves, who is assistant manager.
I think that people have supported us very well over the past year, even in the current conditions. The buying local movement has grown and that’s why we haven’t had to cut back on production.
We are so grateful for all the support and encouragement. Being in business can be demanding at times but a simple word or compliment makes our day every time.
Supporting local businesses is supporting your community. As a consumer, it’s important to understand that small things like buying locally help people and contribute to the community in many ways.
