Love For Local – New Brunswick presents LocalFest, a provincial celebration of local businesses

October 1st promises to be a real treat for local business lovers. LocalFest is a gathering of all things local, from artisans to professional services and everything in between, and everyone is invited to attend for free! The organizing committee, which is also behind the Love For Local – New Brunswick campaign, invites people from all over the province to come and discover the 150 exhibitors, taste the products of microbreweries from different regions of the province and enjoy the artistic performances planned throughout the day.

“Just like the big agricultural fairs where you visit several pavilions and people have fun on the rides, we wanted to create the same atmosphere for people but this time, the entrepreneurs and artists are the pavilions. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and partners, we are able to offer the exhibitor spaces at no cost to interested businesses, and all local artists, staff and suppliers are also compensated at regular prices. This is a great free event that we hope will appeal to the public and provide an economic stimulus for everyone.” – Brad LeBlanc, co-founder of Love For Local – New Brunswick

The event’s partners are numerous and some, such as the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Moncton, have supported the Love For Local campaign since its very beginning.

“It’s been an incredibly tough two and a half years for businesses. LocalFest is our opportunity to bring hundreds of small local businesses from around New Brunswick together to celebrate what supporting local means,”, said John Wishart, CEO of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Moncton

LocalFest will take place on October 1st, rain or shine. Beginning at 1:00 p.m., the public is invited to come and hear the artists perform on the Ian Fowler Oval stage near the Avenir Centre and to visit the booths located around the site. The festivities will conclude at 10 p.m.

A complete list of exhibitors and artists will be announced in the coming days.
